Preview Application Form GRC Travel Grant

GRC Travel Grants can only be applied for via the GRC tool. This guide provides an overview of the information required. The information is requested via an input mask. It is not possible to upload prepared documents instead of entering information in the fields.
The entries in the tool can be saved and the application completed in several sessions. The input mask opens when you click on “Edit request” in the application. Make sure to click “Save” each time after editing.

In the following, the required texts are presented following the structure of the menu bar:

Please note that you must enter the information on the applicant in a separate input mask (see image). Then, click on “Final submit of applicant data”. Once the personal details have been entered in full, the button “Person data” will turn grey.Insert Person Data

  • Information on yourself and your status as a researcher

Activity

See thesustainable travel guidelines andsustainability guidelines for further information.

  • Which means of transport do you choose for your journey? (multiple selection possible): Airplane, Train, Bus, Car, Others
  • Justify your choice and explain your considerations with respect to an ecologically sustainable design of your trip. (Text input box, 1500 characters max.) 
  • Who are you planning to interact with? (multiple selection possible): Members of local academic institutions, Members of other public institutions, Members of NGOs, Members of population groups related to your research topic, Other members of the local population
  • Explain your considerations concerning the socially sustainable design of your activity. (Text input box, 1500 characters max.)

Added value

  • Short description of the activity (Text input box, 1500 characters max.)
  • Goals / target results (Text input box, 1500 characters max.)
  • Relevance for the activity for your research (Text input box, 1500 characters max.)
  • Explain the added value of the trip to your academic career planning. (Text input box, 1500 characters max.)

Budget

The information in the budget is automatically calculated by the GRC-Tool based on the destination country and the duration of the activity.

Uploads

  • Confirmation of host or research plan (as PDF)
  • Letter of Support (as a PDF)
  • CV (as a PDF)
  • Copy of your UZH Card (as a PDF)

Submission

Submission

Once you have completed the request, click “Submit” to submit the application. The request can then no longer be edited. The application can only be considered ‘submitted’ once you have received confirmation by email. If the “Submit” button is grey, information is still missing without which the application cannot be submitted.
